The annual Nada Habba Dasara festival in Mysuru will attract visitors from across the globe. Festivities commenced with a traditional puja at Chamundeshwari Temple, led by writer Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah. This nine-day celebration will culminate in a grand Vijayadashami procession from Mysore Palace on October 12. Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah, also known as Hampanna, emphasized the cultural significance of Dasara in Karnataka, recalling the joy of childhood traditions. Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, a Member of Parliament and descendant of the Mysuru royal family, conducted the annual private darbar at Mysore Palace over Navratri. A variety of cultural events will take place during Mysuru Dasara, including performances by renowned musicians Ilaiyaraaja and A R Rahman, a food festival, a flower exhibition, and a book fair. This year’s film festival will honor the legacy of the late actor-filmmaker Dwarakish.
